Hockey is a sport that two teams compete in three periods of twenty minutes. There are 15 minutes intermission between these periods and the teams change goalposts between each periods. Ice hockey is played on ice rinks with 61 meters in length and 30 meters in width. 2,5 centimeters in height, 7,6 centimeters in diameter and about 160 grams of weight puck can reach up to 160 kilometers per hour.
In ice hockey, in the fastest team game of the world, players can reach speeds of up to 40 kilometers during a match. Team consists of 6 players: five skaters, one goal tender. Team consists of totally 20 players with substitute players. Three of the five players on the rink are forwards, two players are defensemen. Players try to put the puck into the opponent’s team with the ice hockey sticks. If the game is tied at the end of regulation, winner is determined with penalties and overtime period. Except the stick, the goals scored with any part of the body are considered invalid.
